Castles may be old, but their stories are timeless. And on this half day tour, you'll see a trio of Andalusia's finest. You'll swing by Rota, Chipiona and Sanlúcar to learn the history of the town's castles, and the roles they played in shaping the region. And to top it off, you'll savour a wine tasting session, too.
You'll begin with a visit to the impressive Castillo de Luna in Rota. Dating back to the 13th century, this castle now serves as the town hall, as well as a museum containing hundreds of artefacts. Enjoy a guided tour around the grounds, before you head across to Chipiona. Here, venture on a walk around some of its highlights, including the castle, lighthouse and underwater orchards of Los Corrales.
It's off to Sanlúcar next, where you will get to discover Castillo de Santiago. Sitting on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding Atlantic – it's a great place to snap a photo. You'll round off the morning at the prestigious Bodegas Barbadillo, for a lesson in winemaking and the chance to taste local vino.
