Embark on a birdwatcher's dream in the Ebro Delta, where you'll witness the rich ornithological diversity of Fangar Bay, nestled in the northern part of the delta. The journey begins at the reception of a local campsite in L’Ampolla, serving as the starting point for an exploration into the avifauna of the Ebro Delta Natural Park.
The route unfolds both on foot and by car, with participants following the guide’s vehicle. An environmental educator will lead you through the surroundings of Les Olles Lagoon, the smallest lagoon within the park, yet teeming with a significant population of waterfowl. From strategically placed viewpoints around the lagoon, you'll have the opportunity to observe a variety of bird species cohabiting this distinctive ecosystem. Ducks, egrets, kingfishers, stilts, and even majestic flamingos are all part of this visual feast.
In addition to birdwatchers, nature enthusiasts will also find interest in learning about the region’s vegetation and the surrounding rice fields that border the reserve. This birdwatcher's experience spans across the entire coastline from L’Ampolla to the Illa de Mar fishing port, immersing you in the heart of the Ebro Delta Natural Park. After approximately three hours of exploration, the trip concludes back at the original meeting point.
