What to expect

After leaving Glasgow, this Loch Ness tour will climb north past Loch Lomond and into the Highlands where you'll see the majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland's most haunting glens, and many other spectacular sights including Fort William and Britain's highest mountain. As you travel through the Scottish countryside, you'll admire the Caledonian Canal and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying breathtaking views of Loch Ness before exploring it.

Loch Ness is 24 miles long and 700 feet deep and probably most famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as Nessie. You'll spend some time at Loch Ness during which you can take a boat cruise around the lake, explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle or even search for Nessie.

After you've visited Loch Ness, you'll pass through Inverness, crossing the Grampian Mountains and discover the woodland scenery of Perthshire including the Forest of Atholl. You'll really see the best of Scotland: its countryside!
