This full day tour gives you an insight into forgotten Goa. You'll experience the neighbourhood of Socorro and surrounding areas through the eyes of the locals, while taking in cultural and historical delights such as Reis Magos Fort, and having tea at a typical Portuguese house. You'll round off the day visiting a bakery and the Museum of Goa.
Your jam-packed day of sightseeing kicks off at Reis Magos Fort – once used as a defence fortress, jail and hospital. It's been restored and opened to the public, so you'll get a peek inside and enjoy views over the river. Next, we'll head to a 200-year-old Portuguese house, Costa Frias, where you're welcome to look around before the family serve us tea.
You'll make a quick stop at the sluice gate before visiting a bakery for a hot snack and a potter to see traditional Goan pottery being made. After a walk through the village of Socorro, taking in both the Hindu and Christian settlements, you'll wind up at the Museum of Goa, a contemporary art space.
