No picture or book can prepare you for the actual experience of walking around the stunning Islamic architecture of Granada's UNESCO listed Alhambra.
This hilltop fortress, castle, palace and monumental garden represent a sprawling and fantastic dream made real by successive kings of the Nasrid dynasty. With your expert local guide, you'll explore all of its treasures, including:
- The Alcazaba fortress: the oldest part of the Alhambra complex
- The Nasrid Palaces: including the Mexuar, Comares, and Lion palaces
- The Generalife: the sultan's summer palace, located east of the Alhambra and surrounded by sculpted gardens
NOTE: The order of the visit to the different areas will be determined by the entrance time for the Nasrid Palaces. On occasion, the Alhambra Trust may alter the order of the visit and restrict access to certain areas.
