See Ho Chi Minh City by cyclo – a handy way to get around that helps improve the lives of locals while leaving a minimum carbon footprint. Hop in one of these nippy three-wheeled carts and your driver will use pedal power to navigate the narrow streets and take you to all the must-see sights.
You'll start with a walking tour to tick-off major monuments including the grand Opera house, Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post Office, Thien Hau Temple and Reunification Palace – site of the official South Vietnamese surrender that ended the Vietnam War.
Then, by cyclo, you'll speed through the side-streets of central Ho Chi Minh City to see a snapshot of local life. Stop for a strong Saigonese coffee at a corner café, then continue with finger-food tasting at District 3's flower market, as well as visits to Le Hong Phong street's pet shops and the artsy murals of Tran Phu. Back on foot, we round off with a short walk to the bustling Ben Thanh marketplace for free time to explore.
