Separated by a wealth of stunning scenery, the borderlands between Italy and Switzerland are a joy to explore. Flanked by pine-clad slopes and grazing cows, we'll travel to the lakeside town of Tirano, before boarding the Bernina Express train – Europe's highest alpine railway. Grab some epic Instagram snaps of the glacial Alps on this scenic rail-route, and then take a short bus ride to the famous Swiss ski resort of St Moritz. With around 2-hours to explore, you can stop to try Swiss cheese and chocolate in a mountainside café and enjoy wow-factor views over the Engadine Valley before returning to resort via the spectacular Maloja Pass.

Lake Orta and Isola Bella Tour
This tour shines the spotlight on two lakes and their surroundings. Lake Orta has an ethereal, unspoilt quality that gives it its own peaceful feel, far away from the crowds. You'll journey along the shores, taking in the tranquillity of wooded slopes above and the still water below. But before you visit one of the most famous villas on Lake Como, you'll scoot along the lake in a private boat so that you can capture it from the best angles. Wander around its renowned terraced gardens and delve into the lavishly furnished interiors with your guide. Admire the paintings, Chinese porcelain, tapestries and artefacts, which belonged to the previous owner, Count Guido Monzino, who acquired them on his travels.
