The Berges du Rhône (also known as the Banks of the Rhône in English) is one of Lyon’s go-to places for relaxing and socializing. This popular, landscaped stretch of parks, quays, streets, and walking paths extends along the banks of the River Rhône from the Parc de la Tête d’or to the Parc de Gerland.

On a typical day at the Berges du Rhône, you’ll undoubtedly bump into locals walking about, lounging around, enjoying a drink at a terrace, or participating in physical activities such as running, cycling, skateboarding, and more. There are also several play areas for children to frolic here.

The Berges du Rhône was constructed between 2005 and 2007 thanks to the removal of numerous riverside parking spaces in Lyon.
