Departing early from Funchal, head to a viewpoint with beautiful views over Ribeira Brava village, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding mountains. From there, continue to São Vicente on the north coast, known for its vineyards, volcanic caves, and Madeira wine production.
Next, visit one of the most famous viewpoints on the north coast to see the Véu da Noiva (Bride's Veil) waterfall, named for its resemblance to a bridal veil. On clear days, Porto Santo Island can also be seen from here.
The tour continues to Seixal, where you'll stop at the natural pools and have the opportunity to swim in crystal-clear waters while enjoying the stunning surroundings. You'll also visit the famous volcanic pools of Porto Moniz, one of Madeira's most popular attractions.
Afterwards, travel uphill on an off-road route to Paúl da Serra, the island's largest plateau at nearly 1,500 metres above sea level, offering spectacular views. There will be a lunch break (not included) at a typical Madeiran restaurant.
To end the day, visit the Bica da Cana viewpoint at 1,650 metres, where breathtaking views over the north side of the island await.
