Mauritius is all wild beauty but its colourful south, is absolutely bursting with it. This tour takes you to a roll call of the island's must-sees. Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a sacred lake, the seven-coloured earth of Chamarel and much more await. This is one of our TUI Collection excursions, which give you a local flavour of the destination while showcasing its unique, authentic and responsible values.
The fun kicks off at Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcano with a pine-clad crater. Next, visit Voiliers de l'Océan, where artisans handcraft models of 18th century galleons. At the Takamaka winery, sample lychee wines and find out how discarded skins are used. Then, at Grand Bassin, a lake sacred to Hindus, you'll visit a temple and maybe offer prayers.
A drive through Black River Gorges National Park – there's a stop to see epic waterfalls – takes you to Le Chamarel Restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, it's on to the seven-coloured earth of Chamarel. And you'll also meet Steeve, a coconut-carving local.
