Meet your guide in the Red Square and begin your tour with a to visit St Basil's Cathedral, one of the oldest churches ever built in Russia and learn about the building's origins which go back to the 16th-century. Discover how after the USSR Revolution, it was turned in a Museum of Religion and church services were banned.

Next, head next door to the Moscow Kremlin, listen to your guide as they explain the many dramatic political events which have taken place within its walls. Hear stories of assassinations, sieges, murders, insurrections, religious rituals and victory parades.

During the Kremlin tour you will gain a deeper insight into the history of the place and visit three cathedrals in-side: the Cathedral of Archangel Michael (Arkhangelsky), the Cathedral of Annunciation (Blagoveshchensk) and the Uspensky Cathedral (Assumption Cathedral).

Meet your guide at the Kutafia Tower (the entrance to Kremlin). Look for a person holding a purple color sign with the name of the local tour operator 'Marina Wilson Private Tours.' Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the departure of the tour (suggested time at 1.15pm).

What to remember
  • There is a minimum booking of at least 2 Adults per booking
  • Maximum of 25 people per tour
  • You can not go in or out of Kremlin on your own, guidance is required by the Russian government. Please don’t try to enter the complex yourself to look for your tour
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure time. The tour will begin promptly at 1.30pm
  • Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated and missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded
  • This tour involves a fair amount of walking including hills and stairs; comfortable shoes are recommended
  • Unfortunately, this tour is not available for guests with wheelchairs
  • Note this tour runs in any weather conditions, please dress appropriately
