What to remember
  • If you wish to book the Cave tours, this will need to be done when you arrive at the castle and please note this will be subject to availability
  • The Robin Hood Adventure is included as part of the ticket cost, but the time slot must be booked on arrival at the Castle
  • Entry slots are every 15 minutes. Last admission is one hour before closing time. However, it is recommended that you allow at least two hours to get the most out of your visit to Nottingham Castle
  • Please be aware of the opening hours which vary: November to March from 10:00am to 16:00pm, April and May from 10:00am to 17:00pm, June and August from 10:00am to 18:00pm, September and October from 10:00am to 17:00pm
  • Assistance guide dogs and support dogs are permitted on-site and in the Castle. All other well-behaved dogs (and owners) are allowed in the grounds and in the outdoor spaces at both the Coffee Shop and Terrace Café but are not allowed inside the Castle or the Visitor Centre. Owners are asked politely to clean up after their dogs
  • The castle is accessible to wheelchair users, however the caves are inaccessible due to the steep passages
  • Students need a valid student ID
  • Essential companions get free admission when accompanying a person with a disability. Please select your free ticket at checkout
  • Infants four years old or under get free admission and require a ticket. Please select their free ticket at checkout
