Enjoy the Jurassic Museum of Asturias (MUJA), a museum that houses one of the most complete and educational collections about dinosaurs.
Your adventure begins after departing from Oviedo. During the journey, you will admire the beautiful landscape of Asturias while the guide will do an introduction to the Jurassic period in this region and Spain, rich in fossils from millions of years ago. The arrival at MUJA is striking, thanks to the architecture of its building in the shape of a dinosaur three-toed footprint, elevated above sea level.
You begin the visit through its various halls, admiring dinosaur replicas and authentic fossils. The guide will share information about the species that inhabited the Jurassic World, explaining how the fossils were discovered in Asturias. Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and deepen your understanding of this world, as well as the processes of fossil excavation and preservation.
The museum also offers interactive activities, such as touching bone replicas or participating in excavation simulations, which will make the experience even more enriching and fun. After the visit, you will enjoy free time to explore the surroundings of the museum and its facilities (cafeteria, souvenir shop, children's play area and garden area with its dinosaur replicas).
To complete the experience, you will walk along a peaceful trail to "La Griega "Beach, where you will see authentic fossilized dinosaur tracks.
