Picasso. Blue and Rose
18 September 2018 - 6 January 2019
The Musée d’Orsay and the Musée national Picasso-Paris are organising an exceptional event dedicated to Pablo Picasso’s blue and rose periods. It features masterpieces and proposes a new interpretation on the years 1900-1906, a critical period in the artist’s career which to date has not been covered in its entirety by a French museum.
Renoir Father and Son. Painting and Cinema
6 November 2018 - 27 January 2019
The exhibition seeks to explore the fruitful and at times paradoxical dialogue between a father, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and a son, Jean Renoir, between two artists, and between painting and cinema. This multidisciplinary exhibition explores the themes (the role of the female model, for example) and locations (the River Seine, Montmartre, Southern France) common to two bodies of work that assuredly combine a taste for freedom and a deep sense of humanity.
