Take part in an unforgettable one day trip to Venice by ship from Piran. The comfortable journey from Piran to Venice of 2 hours and 45 minutes to the most beautiful city on the planet will be used to give you an insight into the rich history of Venice and of its »Serenissima« Republic.
During the cruise, you can also plan your day and order a drink or snack at the bar. After arriving in Venice at the dock of San Basilio, you can either walk with a guide or take a boat to Saint Mark's Square (available for a small surcharge). There you will be given a free tour of the square which lasts about 40 minutes, does not include entrances to the buildings, and will explain all about the following buildings: St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, Clock Tower, Bell tower 2 granite pillars, Bridge of Sighs, New procuratie, Old procuratie, Ala Napoleonica and the Library. After this, you will be able to visit the city on your own, or if you prefer you can book the following activities on the boat from Piran to Venice:
- lunch at a local restaurant,
- romantic gondola ride through hidden canals with the person you love
- a ride on a water taxi along the most beautiful water street of Venice, the Canal Grande
These excursions come at an extra cost and will be organised considering possible restrictions because of the current COVID situation.
The ship is divided in two decks. The lower part accomodates up to 280 standard-ticket passengers in two salons. The upper deck is the VIP lounge for only 30 passengers, which have more space, comfort and tables at their disposal. VIP ticket guests will also be offered 2 free non alcoholic drinks, they will be disembarked with priority and if the weather permits it, they will also be allowed to access the outside deck during the slow speed sailing once inside the lagoon of Venice.
The ship will leave from Venice at 5:15 pm and arrive to Piran at 8:00 pm. Some changes in time might occurr for the Festa del Redentore, on July 17th. Please check the calendar for the time of departure in the morning and ask on board for the time of return in the afternoon.
