Mighty Meteora

On this full day tour, you'll visit its largest monastery as well as visit Kalambaka.It's a long trip to Meteora from Parga – but it's well worth the journey through the hills of western Thessaly. Meteora's ancient monasteries sit on top of sandstone towers carved out by Mother Nature. Originally, there were 24 built, of which six remain active. You'll visit the largest, the Monastery of Great Meteoron. At more than 600m, it's also the highest. Its frescoes are alone worth the trip up.You'll also have the chance to takes come pics of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, which starred in the Bond movie For Your Eyes Only.
