Culture, cigars, cable cars and pirates are just some of the attractions on this tour of two of the Dominican Republic's most historic cities. You'll see all the main sights in Santiago and enjoy a panoramic cable car ride in Puerto Plata, among the day's many activities.
First up is Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic. You'll get stuck straight in at the hilltop Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration and the historic heart of the city. See the cathedral and popular Central Park. You'll also visit the Centro Cultural Leon and get to know exactly what Santiago is famous for at the Aurora Cigar Museum and Factory.
You'll then head for lunch at the exclusive Camp David restaurant, which boasts sweeping views over the Cibao Valley, before heading to Puerto Plata. Here, you'll jump into a cable car and travel to the top of Mount Isabel de Torres, more than 800 metres above sea level. Finally, you'll explore the Amber Museum and pirate-repelling Fort San Felipe.
