On this unique pasta cooking experience you will have the chance to spend time with an Italian family and learn about their everyday life, as well as learning to make your homemade pasta exactly as an Italian grandma would! Our hosts will open the doors of their home in Central Rome, near the Vatican and will offer you an authentic taste of Italian life.
After being picked up at your meeting point by your English speaking host Ambra, you will take a short stroll through a traditional local market, very close to the home where your hosts live and have the opportunity to learn how Italians source their ingredients to make taste their dishes so delicious. Enjoy a delicious welcome aperitivo with Italian nibbles and some bubbly prosecco before getting to work.
Then get involved with eggs, flour and pasta machine, as you are taught how to make two different types of pasta: the famous filled pasta (ravioli) and the delicious tagliatelle, that will be prepared with two different sauces. While working on your pasta dishes, your host will explain all the secret of the perfectly cooked pasta whilst giving you information of life around the area and tips on where to go to eat and shop. No Italian meal will be complete without a dessert: learn how to impress your guests by preparing the perfect Italian dessert and of course, try it first hand!
