Visit the Basilica and Cloister of the Lateran complex! You’ll visit the oldest church of Christianity, built by the will of the emperor Constantine after his conversion and known as the "mater et caput" of all the churches in Rome and in the world.
The Basilica was also the church where all popes were enthroned until 1870 and the place where today the Pope celebrates the Holy Thursday Mass. You’ll also visit the cloister and admire the marble columns that surround it.
