The tour starts with an overlook of the Roman Forum where you’ll learn how this field of scattered ruins was once the beating heart of one of the greatest empires on earth. From this viewpoint, you’ll see all the main ruins, including the Senate House, Temple of the Vestal Virgins, Temple of Saturn, and more. It will be easy to imagine how the Forum must have appeared 2,000 years ago as we tell you the stories of war, politics, economics, and religion that shaped the ancient city. Next, your guide will take you to the Colosseum to tell you stories of its bloody history. On a walk around its perimeter, your guide will help you separate facts from fiction and tell you about the building’s not-so-glorious years after it fell into disuse.
