Start your tour at your accommodation and head on a 3-hour drive to Loumpoul. Here, you will board a 4x4 and ride through the dunes to reach the camp where you will be given a warm welcome. Next, you head on a camel ride around the beautiful orange sand dunes. Watch a breathtaking sunset before going back to your camp for a tasty dinner under the stars. By then it is time to go to sleep in the comfortable traditional Mauritanian tents of Loumpoul Ecolodge.
The next day, you visit the historic city of Saint-Louis. The old town of the former capital of French West Africa is listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Enjoy a ride in traditional horse-drawn carriages and discover the preserved monuments of the colonial city. See the Faidherbe Bridge, the Town Hall, the Cathedral of Saint-Louis, the airmail views of the Museum, and fishermen's quarter Guet Ndar. Finally, you will visit the Museum of Photography before going back to your hotel.
