This full-day tour is the perfect combination including an adventure deep into the Berchtesgaden Salt Mines and a journey across the impressive Lakes and Mountains region.
Begin your day with a 4-hour tour from Salzburg, passing the Hellbrunn Palace area on your way to the salt mines. Travel deep into the salt mines, ideal for all ages, where you will learn the value of "white gold", ride the miner's train, slip down a slide and travel across a salt lake on a raft! Afterward, be enchanted by the "land of music", traveling through Hof and Fuschl in the lakes region with a brief stop in St. Gilgen (the birthplace of Mozart's mother) before continuing to the nearby village of St. Wolfgang.
Here you will find extraordinary beauty in abundance, plus a local church with its famous and unique 15th-century altar by Michael Pacher. Marvel at the Weiße Rössl Hotel, a well-known setting for the famous operetta "Im Weissen Rössl" and enjoy picturesque scenes during the return trip as you pass by Lake Krottensee, Hüttenstein Castle, the shoreline of Lake Mondsee and the town of Mondsee, with its famous old monastery.
From May to October you will also have the chance to enjoy a boat trip across the Wolfgangsee Lake (from November to April you will receive coffee and cake).
