This canyoning tour is perfect for those looking for a more challenging and adventurous experience in the wildest and greenest areas of São Miguel. The activity takes place at Ribeira da Salga, in the northeast of the island, between Lomba de São Pedro and Salga, around 40 minutes from Ponta Delgada.
Upon arrival, your equipment will be provided, followed by a safety briefing and an approximately 30-minute hike to the start of the canyon.
During the Half Day PLUS tour, you’ll make your way down the canyon with jumps into natural pools, abseils alongside waterfalls, and sections of walking and sliding through the river. The experience ends with an uphill climb back to the starting point, followed by a well-deserved picnic-style lunch at a local park.
