Your tour kicks off with a journey to the ancient capital city, Koh Ker. This remote archaeological site is nestled in the northern part of Cambodia, approximately 120 kilometres from Siem Reap and the historic site of Angkor. It's an area brimming with jungle and sparsely populated, offering a truly authentic experience. Over 180 sanctuaries have been discovered within this protected area spanning 81 square kilometres.
The ancient city was constructed under the reign of King Jayavarman IV, who ruled from 928 to 941. You'll explore iconic temples such as Prasat Thom (also known as the Pyramid Temple), Linga Temples at Koh Ker, and Prasat Pram. Each temple offers its own distinct charm and historical significance. Following your exploration of these temples, you'll have time to savour a meal at a local restaurant.
