Pick up from your hotel and drive 18 miles from downtown of Sihanoukville to a pier for embarking on a long-tailed boat to Ream National Park. Then cruise along Ream River which has several branches bordered by mangrove or gardens or local people’ villages located in Ream National park. The Ream National Park is one of 7 National Parks in Cambodia, established in 1993 by the former King, His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk. The park covers 15,000 hectares of land and 6,000 hectares of marine habitat. There are 155 species of birds in the park including a few threatened species. While cruising, you can see all kinds of trees, especially mangrove and villages on both sides of the river. Disembark at another end and you will trek inside the forest with a few stops to visit local people's houses, gardens, as well as Mountain pagoda before return to your hotel.
