Swakopmund

Swakopmund is the capital of the Erongo administrative district and is located in the Namib Desert. It is a city with great personality and the country's biggest coastal town for Namibians on holiday. With its half-timbered German architecture, seaside promenades,Swakopmund looks like a German North Sea town with an African flair. It is at once Namibia's adventure capital and an interesting colonial remnant, part destination in its own right and part starting point for an exploration of the Skeleton Coast and Namib Desert.
