The inside story
How many art museums can be found inside extravagant Baroque palaces? Kadriorg Palace, a work of art in itself, is home to the Kadriorg Art Museum which showcases Western European and Russian art from the 16th to 20th centuries. Designed by Italian architect Niccolo Michetti for the Russian Tsar Peter the Great, this palace is opulent, classy, grand; and the art inside is second to none. Wander around permanent and temporary exhibitions and admire paintings, prints and sculptures, not to mention the gardens surrounding the palace too! The main hall is also used for concerts thanks to its incredible acoustics.
