First up is a visit to La Laguna, arguably one of the prettiest villages on the island. Throw in its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it makes for a real gem of a stop. Wander its poker straight lines of pastel-coloured buildings and historic mansions or stop for a coffee in one of the tree-lined plazas. Hit the market here and you can admire the impressive flower displays the town is famed for.
It's then on to a local bodega where a typical Canarian lunch is followed by one of the highlights of the day – winetasting. Sample a selection of their best white and red varieties for a flavourful introduction to Canarian wine.
