What to expect

In 2018, the famous fish market auction of Tokyo moved from Tsukiji to Toyosu, but the original is still brimming with history, culture and fish for visitors to experience. Learn about one of Japan’s most iconic foods, sushi, from one of Japan’s most iconic sources of fresh fish.

This 4-hour tour of the market area will teach you everything you could ever want to know about sushi. From the sea to the market to the chef to your mouth, learn the whole process of sushi making with 100s of years of history. Then, after learning the history, become a part of it by making your own sushi from a professional chef. Of course, you get to eat your creation, too.

The meeting point is in front of the gate of Tsukiji Honganji Temple. Please arrive a few minutes before the starting time.

The tour strictly starts on time. Please be respectful of the other guests. If guests do not arrive at the meeting point by the departure time, the tour will begin regardless
