This two-day journey takes you deep into the rural heart of Zaghouan, where farm life, ancient craftsmanship and dramatic mountain villages reveal the region's authentic charm.
On day one, you'll be collected from Tunis at 10:00 AM and transferred to Zaghouan. Your day begins at Dar Zaghouan with a guided walk around the farm, led by a local expert who'll share insights into the region's history and cultural heritage. You'll then take part in a hands-on seasonal workshop, which may include traditional distillation, Kaak El Warka pastry-making or Tabouna bread baking in a clay oven.
After a Tunisian lunch prepared with fresh farm ingredients, you'll explore the Temple des Eaux de Zaghouan, an impressive Roman monument that once supplied water to ancient Carthage. There's time to wander the site and enjoy sunset views over the mountains before returning to the farm for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day two begins with breakfast before departing for Zriba Olia, a charming hilltop village known for its stone houses and panoramic views. You'll enjoy a walking tour through narrow winding paths, exploring the village's history and architecture. The journey continues to Sidi Jedidi, where you'll visit Douar Laroussi to discover traditional farming techniques. Lunch featuring fresh local ingredients will be served in a rustic rural setting.
You'll return to Tunis at approximately 3:00 PM.
