What to expect

Your history lesson begins when you depart the Nation's Capital to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. On the way to Gettysburg, your driver/guide will provide you with some historical facts on the Civil War Era and the Battle of Gettysburg along with showing you an informative video. Your first stop is at the Shriver House Museum, where you will travel back in time as you walk through the Shrivers' restored 1860 home, and learn about the civilian side of the Battle of Gettysburg. From here, you will make a stop for a one-hour lunch break. Explore the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center, which provides resources and experiences to introduce you to the Battle of Gettysburg. After watching the film "A New Birth of Freedom" and viewing the Gettysburg Cyclorama, you will return to your luxury motorcoach for a two-hour tour through the battlefield by a Licensed Guide. Be on the lookout for musket balls from the battle, as this tour will include stops where you will step onto the hallowed grounds at some of the Battlefield's most iconic locations.
