Travel to the beautiful Cotswolds to visit some of the filming sites of the hit series Downton Abbey on the day tour!
After departure from London, your first stop will be at Cogges Manor Farm with its collection of friendly animals beautifully located on the banks of the River Windrush. Learn about its role in Downton Abbey as 'Yew Tree Farm' where Lady Edith's daughter Marigold was brought up by the Drewe family. Visit the kitchens, see the farmyard and watch a special presentation video about the farm's role in the television series.
After a coffee break, you'll continue exploring the region, stopping at Shilton and then Bampton to see St Mary's church used for so many weddings, a funeral or two and a jilting when it became St Michael's in Downton Abbey. Here, there will be a guided walk where you'll see the cottage hospital as well as Mrs Crawley's house, the village green and The Grantham Arms pub.
The next stop will be at the village of Bladon to visit the graves of Sir Winston and Lady Churchill, before a lunch break in the vibrant and historic Cotswold town of Woodstock.
You'll spend the afternoon at the majestic Blenheim Palace which saw the birth of Sir Winston Churchill in 1874, and boasts over 2,000 acres of landscaped gardens. Enjoy the Churchill exhibition and stroll through the delightful grounds before our return to London.
