Escape the noise and heat of Rome to discover the ancient city of Ostia. On this 4.5-hour tour you will have an opportunity to explore one of the hidden gems of Rome, located only 25 minutes away by train.
After meeting with your guide near the metro stop for your round trip tickets, together you will board the train going to Ostia. The train is by far the easiest way to get there (you will not get stuck in bad Roman traffic). Upon arrival at the site you will have a short break while your guide collects the and you will skip-the-line and enter the wonderful and ancient town of Ostia Antica.
Your expert guide will show you the most significant highlights of this ancient site and give you an insight into the ancient Roman world. The highlights include the Theatre, baths, ancient taverns, grain mills, temples and brothels, and even the best-preserved ancient public latrine in the world. The tour will end inside the site and you can either stay inside and explore even further or choose to return to Rome with your guide. The site of Ostia Antica is located near some of the best seafood restaurants and beaches, where you can spend the whole day on the beach, far from the noise of Rome and return on your own with your round trip train tickets.
