What to expect

This popular full-day tour brings you from Dublin to the west coast, beginning with the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's seven wonders. The Cliffs are the most visited natural attraction in Ireland, one whose experience changes with the weather, and which reveal the rugged beauty, as well as sweeping views and beautiful vistas that have always appealed to tourists and locals alike. Your informative, witty guide will keep you up to speed on local plants, wildlife as well as the history of the Cliffs of Moher and the surrounding area. On a clear day you'll have views of the Aran Islands as you take a breathtaking walk along the cliffs, after which you'll visit the Burren, a limestone/karst region of Ireland. It is a fascinating ecosystem, but can you find the wonderful orchids that only grow in this botanists' playground? After lunch in the beautifully scenic Doolin, we will drive along the coastline stopping at places of outstanding beauty and historic relevance such as the 12th century Corcomroe Abbey. Travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way our last stop before returning to Dublin is the harbour village of Kinvara, where your day is rewarded with lovely views over the bay and of Dunguaire Castle.
