What to expect

Since 2014, the Outlander TV series has gained an ever-growing, international fanbase who love to follow the thrilling historical storylines and admire the beautiful scenery. So why not go behind-the-scenes and visit the spectacular filming locations yourself, get lost in the Scottish wilderness, explore crumbling ramparts and remember and relive the best scenes from the series.

Based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, this series has been filmed in iconic locations across the highlands, and your expert guide will fill you in on each location's history and where you'll recognize them from. You will visit Jamie and Claire's home, the home of Geillis and Arthur Duncan in sixth century Cranesmuir, and the very spot where Jamie is arrested.

Along the way you will also visit a number of splendid castles and fantastic buildings: Castle Leoch, home to Colum Mackenzie; Wentworth Prison, the brithplace of Mary Queen of Scots; the filming site of Fort William, a fortress on the River Forth; and the 15th century castle which is used as Jamie Fraser's childhood home. This will be a day full of history, behind-the-scenes info and spectacular sights.
