The inside story
The Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall on the western tip of the HafenCity quarter of Hamburg. The hall was officially inaugurated with concerts and a light show on 11 January 2017. It combines innovative architecture, as the new glassy construction resembles a water wave, with an exceptional location and outstanding acoustics. In fact it is one of the largest and most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world.
