CARD TURISTICA FULL:

  • Chiesa Rupestre Madonna delle Grazie: located in the Sasso Caveoso, this church is one of the many examples of the rocky places of worship inside the Rioni Sassi. Its history is one of the oldest as it’s one of the last to have been closed to worship
  • Casa Grotta Narrante: an architectural testimony of the millenary peasant civilization, the Casa Grotta Narrante is composed of different rooms containing memories and preserved objects. Here, it’s possible to relive the customs and traditions of a culture that, for a long time remained on the margins of society
  • Chiesa Rupestre di Sant'Antonio Abate: located in Sasso Barisano, this small church is part of the circuit of rock churches. Excavated in the rock, it was built according to the typical local building tradition where the front part is built in rocks and the rest is built using the local calcarenite bricks
  • Casa Cava: The Casa Cava is a hypogeum environment that was once used as a Tuff quarry. Today, this space is used as an auditorium and conference center thanks to an exceptional restoration works
  • Museo Immersivo della Bruna: located in the heart of Sasso Barisano, this museum offers a multimedia path through one of the most popular festivals in town, the ‘Madonna Della Bruna’. Through legends, images, sounds and tales you can immerse yourself in the most spectacular moment of the festivity, that of the ‘strazzo’ (local dialect word meaning the destruction of the triumphal chariot), reliving the emotions that unite an entire community on that special day
  • Museo Racconti in Pietra: discover the most ancient phases of the development of the city and the territory. Get ready to meet the dinosaurs and creatures that once populated these places, such as the Giuliana whale
