The inside story
The Triennale di Milano is a museum for architecture and design that is found in the building of ‘art’ (Palazzo del Arte) designed by Italian architect Giovanni Muzio, in central Milan. This building can be found in Milan’s Parco Sempione directly connected to the grounds of the Sforzesco Castle in the center of the city.
The museum originally came to life in Monza for the Biennale festival of decorative arts but later moved to its current building in 1933. Since 2007 the Triennale includes the Triennale Design Museum, the first museum in Italy dedicated to design and since 2011 the Theatre of Arts.
