Good to know

This is the most visited theme park in Europe. Queues are unavoidable. Make it easier for yourself by downloading the Disneyland app, which has wait times for almost every attraction.
Food is pricey and tends to be of the fast-food variety. Those looking for healthy alternatives will have slim (read: non existent) pickings. Bring your own snacks.
With around 60 action-packed attractions spread over two parks, it pays to plan ahead. Look for the most efficient way to cover your top picks and decide which rides to see early in the day to avoid excessive queuing.
It goes without saying that during school holidays, summer and weekends in general, it's at its busiest. If you can avoid these periods you'll thank yourself, although some rides are closed for renovation during spring and winter.
If you're staying in one of the resort hotels you can enter the park up to two hours before it opens. Only a handful of rides are available, but it's worth it to get some private park time.
You can thank the French every time you get an alcoholic drink here. This was the first Disneyland park to break with tradition and serve alcohol to the public.
Make your fastpass reservations well in advance to save you hassle and time on the day (queues for the on-site kiosks can be long).
Queues will be long but you can't go wrong with the crowd favorites: Big Thunder Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, it's a small world, Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast and Phantom Manor.
Dress for comfort and check the weather. There are few places to escape the natural elements so it's best to be prepared.

About Disneyland

Two parks in one provide a wealth of entertainment, eating and excitement opportunities. In the Disneyland Park, you can experience Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, the Discovery Arcade and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. You can meet Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin, or train at the Jedi Academy. Hungry? Treat yourself to ice-cream, pizza, cookies or a cowboy barbeque.

At the Walt Disney Studios Park, you can jump into the special effects of Armageddon, ride the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster and become a part of Ratatouille. Or perhaps you’d prefer to find Nemo and meet Spiderman before refueling on burgers or classic French bistro cuisine.

Then there’s the Disney Village, where you can enjoy concerts and cinemas or eat at favorites like The Rainforest Café, McDonalds, Planet Hollywood or Starbucks. If you’re a fan of shopping, there’s a Disney Store, Disney Fashion, a Lego Store and a World of Toys.
