Assist a team of biologists during the evening meal of the special guests sheltered at the Experimental Center for Habitat Protection - Cestha, a nonprofit research organization for environmental protection. Your participation in this activity will contribute to the protection of the animals housed at the center, but it also has the very meaningful purpose of raising awareness about environmental issues.
The center is located in the complex of the old Fish Market of Marina di Ravenna, recently converted into a research center and rehab facility for marine wildlife. Led by researchers and specialists in natural sciences, marine biology, and veterinary medicine, the Research Center is involved in conservation programs for endangered species and in the promotion of sustainable management activities.
The experience is suitable for everyone and aims to raise awareness of today's challenges in terms of environmental education: waste, proper use of plastic and respect for the environment. This activity will allow you to see the sea turtles, to discover their history, the clinical diagnosis and the healing process until the release into the sea. It will also be possible to experience the thrill of actively feeding some patients.
