Your journey starts along the sides of the caldera as you climb to Santorini's highest peak Mt Profitis Ilias - the views from the top will take your breath away. Continuing on through traditional villages to the north-western tip of Santorini and the unique village of Oia instantly recognisable as the poster-village of Santorini. It's positively bursting with Greek charm - its houses sunk deep into the volcanic soil their whitewashed walls and blue domes sparkling in the sunlight. Enjoy around 1 hours free time to explore its narrow cobbled white streets with houses hotels cafes and galleries stretched along the crest of the caldera providing wonderful views into the volcano and across the sea to the island of Thirassia. Your return journey back to the ship stops at Thira Santorini's capital and home of its famous cable car. You will return to the tender pick-up point by cable car but you will have the opportunity to explore Thira before boarding the cable car.
