What to expect

Embark on the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire 4-Day Safari with Hot Air Balloon, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure from Zanzibar

Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

After hotel pickup, fly from Zanzibar to Arusha and continue to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive along the river, spotting lions, leopards, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Karatu Lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to South Serengeti

Travel early to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Descend into this wildlife-rich basin, home to around 25,000 animals, including black rhinos and lions. After a picnic lunch, continue to a tented camp called Africa Safari South Serengeti for the night.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring the legendary Serengeti on game drives across vast savannahs. Spot predators such as lions and cheetahs alongside huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, with the chance to witness the Great Migration. Overnight at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.

Day 4: Hot air balloon and return to Zanzibar

You'll take off before sunrise on a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti, followed by a bush breakfast with non-alcoholic sparkling wine. There's a final game drive en route to the airstrip before your flight back to Zanzibar.
