Buckingham Palace is the royal family's official residence, and only open to the public for 8 weeks of the year, so this is a rare chance to revel in the luxurious ballrooms fantastic throne room and beautiful gardens.

With an architectural marvel behind you, you'll move on to a more natural one: Stonehenge. But how did these enormous standing rocks come to be situated on Salisbury Plain? And what were they for? Perhaps they were used as a place of worship, or an ancient astronomical clock, or even a Bronze Age burial ground. No-one really knows, so you can enjoy your visit, speculating and deciding for yourself.

  • Please note there is a 15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace at the start of this tour
  • For safety reasons, pushchairs are not permitted in the State Rooms. They must be checked in and reclaimed at the exit. Baby-carriers are available for loan
  • A one-way system operates along the entire visitor route for safety reasons
  • Use of mobile phones are permitted in the Palace garden but must be switched off elsewhere on the visitor route
  • Photography is not permitted inside Buckingham Palace
  • Clients that require mobility access must book by calling the tour operator
