Starting from the Belvedere Courtyard, the Pio-Clementino Museum and the collection of Ancient Roman and Greek statues, you’ll then be taken through the Gallery of Tapestries followed by the Gallery of Maps. In the Sobieski Room, you'll have the chance to admire one of the biggest paintings in the Vatican, as well as the room of the Immaculate Conception, decorated by some beautiful frescoes. Your next stop will be the gem of the Vatican, Raphael’s Rooms: decorated by Raphael for Pope Julius II, this location is home to some of his best works, including the Parnassus and The School of Athens. Your guide will make sure you'll learn all you need to know about all the amazing works by artists of the likes of Michelangelo and Botticelli. Also, you'll listen to intriguing anecdotes regarding the chapel, which is still in use today.
The tour will then move on to Saint Peter’s Basilica, home to see Michelangelo's Pietà and Bernini’s Baldacchino, before ending in Saint Peter’s Square, where you can the unique atmosphere given by the exterior of the papal palace as well as the colorful Swiss Guards.
