The inside story
Are you ready? Expo 2020 Dubai will soon open its doors to the world in the magnificent city of Dubai. As you probably know the World Expo is one of the world’s oldest and largest international events, taking place every five years and lasting six months. This year the World exhibition will be inaugurated on October 1st, 2021, and will come to a close on March 31st, 2022.
Over the course of six months, Expo will bring over 190 countries and millions of people together in the city of Dubai. The event will be a catalyst for human progress and will showcase what’s possible when new ideas and people connect.
Occupying roughly 400 hectors, the exhibition will be one of Dubai's biggest projects ever created, with a total investment contribution of 33.6 billion USD and will be the largest event ever to be held in the Arab World.
‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’ is the theme for Expo 2020 and will be centered on leaving a lasting impact on the path of human progress. From unlocking development opportunities for the next generation to re-imagining how people move and connect.
The aim of Expo 2020? To show the world that through collaboration and commitment, we can build a better future.

Opening hours will be on weekdays from 9.00am till 1.00am and on weekends and special days from 10.00am till 2.00am.
How to get there?
The Expo 2020 site is located in the Dubai South district. You will be able to reach the site by car taking you approximately 40 minutes from Downtown Dubai. The site will also have its own metro station. Being close to Al Maktoum International Airport and within easy reach of Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport and Dubai and Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminals, you can easily get a taxi or a careem ride.
