Enjoy a guided tour through Berlin and learn about the city's history during the Third Reich. Your first stop will be the former location of the T4 operation command center. You'll pass by the ruins of many historic buildings which were destroyed during the Second World War and you'll learn about the events that led to the capitulation of Germany in 1945.
During your walking tour, you'll be able to admire the memorials of some well-known figures such as the one dedicated to the American journalist Varian Fry, who helped 3,000 Jews to escape from Nazi Europe, or the one dedicated to the philosopher Hannah Arendt.
You'll then reach the "Jewish Quarter" and hear about the Jewish community, the anti-Semitic prejudices and the difficult relationship between Christians and Jews over history. You'll visit the place where the Old Synagogue stood and the former site of Otto Weidt’s factory which is now a memorial center. You'll visit the old Jewish cemetery, where the Jewish philosopher Moses Mendelssohn is buried, and the proceed towards the New Synagogue and the Jewish hospital.
